Happy Birthday Moose!!!!

She told me she would make a face if I took her picture- I told her I would blog it

Today is July 4th- and the Moose turns 5 years old today! America turns 234 years old.

The changes in the Moose are extraordinary- and of course she has changed from a baby- to an amazing little girl.

She is smart, funny, caring compassionate and so loving. Eager to please, sorry to displease. Trys to follow the rules- and very concerned about her manners. Loves to sit down and watch a movie or play outside and catch bugs. She is a wonderful sister and fantastic daughter. We are so blessed to have her in our family.

I wished the Moose a Happy Birthday today- and as she sat in my lap watching the fireworks ( Nice of the city to put on that nice display for her birthday) I sang her Happy Birthday. We did not celebrate today (she did get a couple of presents) - in a couple of weeks she is having a tea party (so conservative in this house- even my kids are Tea Partiers) and we are getting ready for that.

Today we had our annual 4th of July BBq. Great menu with smoked pork, Baked beans, Asian cole slaw, potato salad, deviled eggs- and cupcakes, banana pudding, brownies and apple pie for dessert. This year we had 30 friends and family over- and even with the rainy weather (kept the temp down- and it was nice and cool) we had a great time!

the Zoo and friends swam, played in the sandbox, bounced in the bouncy house- and ran themselves ragged.

The Moose even managed to eat an entire hotdog- and a cupcake -when she finally stopped playing long enough to eat.

She told me it was her "best birthday ever until my teaparty Mommy"

She is excited to 5 years old- a whole hand.

Lets just hope that she sleeps in until 7 am in the morning.
