Sisters ready for their "make over"
Oh the things we have done since last I blogged. The 4th of July was just the start of our month and it has only gotten busier.
Since Moose has her birthday on the 4th- we opted to have her birthday party later in the month. She wanted to have a tea party. We had so much fun planning it- and the girls had so much fun at the party.
She picked out tea cup invitations. They were to cute with with little tea bags that had the date, time and RSVP information. We kept it small- so with Moose and Goose we had 7 girls.
We had 5 beautiful porcelain tea cups- and shopped the Good Will until we found a few more. We also shopped and found some more dress up clothing. The old prom gowns, purses, scarves, shoes, and jewelry. We planned the menu and ordered the cake.
My friend Jennifer came over the night before and helped me do some early cooking, some serious dusting, and a movie and wine- because we worked hard and deserved it.
All the dress up clothes were hung up on hangers- on a clothing rack, the scarves and shoes were put out for the little girls to look through- and jewelry on the table for them to find those perfect pieces.
We set the dining room table- linen table cloth, the finest pink flatware and paper products that we could find. Each place setting had a tea cup, a table favor, and of course place cards. Moose helped set the table and picked where each little girl would sit.
The menu for the little girls was Mac and Cheese, peanut butter and strawberry preserve sandwiches, lil' smokie rolls, and fresh fruit- strawberries, grapes, cherries. The Mommies had salad and sandwiches- a little mac and cheese, a little of this and a little of that.
The girls had their make up done by Alyssa, dressed up and changed multiple times, and had a great time.
We played Tape the Tiara on the Princess- with the "princess" being a poster of Moose.
Cake - chocolate with chocolate icing- and decorated with a Princess Tea set- made the girls afternoon- and for those who did not want chocolate- we had vanilla cupcakes with strawberry icing. (I let my inner Martha Stewart out).
The party ended at 2pm- and my Moose and Goose were so tired- that when we went to Walmart to look for school supplies- they were asleep before we were out of the drive way.
Moose love having her "BFF's" here to celebrate her birthday. We had one of our China sisters here- Tuesday and her Mommy came over from the coast. TJ, Caidi, Elaina, and Abigail all helped to celebrate- and we were happy to have them here .
