Haircuts for two

When the Moose was little- her hair was super short- it took her a long time for her hair to We have never had their hair cut. Always wanted to go to Disney for first hair cuts- but as much as I love the Main Street Barber- they don't style and we were going to go for layers.

I went back through some old pictures and I can't believe how short their hair used to be. So this morning we headed to a local salon and we had first hair cuts. We kept the length- but trimmed the ends and added some layers to it. Moose thought this was the greatest. They took her back to the sink- washed her hair and talked about what kind of cut she would like.

She was so good and sat very still while her hair was cut. She did remind me a couple of times that it doesn't hurt to have your hair cut.

Goose was very good as well- she was not to sure about leaning back to have her hair washed. She wanted to know "I done now? " very frequently while Phil washed her hair. Phil is a saint- Goose is not one to sit still while so much is going on around her and she squirmed quite a bit. Goose has way more hair than the Moose- and her hair cut took a little longer.

Each of the girls lost about 2 inches in length- firt hair cut- and they had a few split ends. The layers frame their faces- and the back looks nice and healthy. They can wear it down- back with a headband or in pigtails- and I have it direct from pre-schooler Vogue- that bows are big this year. Moose and Goose are so far ahead of the curve on that.

The Ogre got a new phone yesterday. New to him- his was a little worse for wear and needed to be replaced. So Mommy got on Ebay and found him an LG Vu. It's just like mine- and I love the touch screen. He needed a phone case and a screen guard- and we went to the mall to get him one. He picked out a really neat phone case with a dragon on it- bright colors. The screen guard was a mirror finish. For a used phone it is in pristine condition.

The phone goody cart is right in front of the Build-A-Bear store. That is just about perfect placement. Daddy was looking for something to keep the girlies occupied while the Ogre picked out phone bling. We had our first Build-A-Bear experience.

Moose picked out a Floppy Eared Bunny. She picked out the "I love you" button to go inside, Goose picked out a Chocolate Teddy bear- and the "I love you" button as well. They had a heart ceremony- and Zannu the Bunny, and Bambi Bear were born.

Grandma said the bunny and bear needed clothing and- that they could not be naked. So we also have a red cheer leading outfit and Pj's for the bunny and bear. The girls were able to hit the magical $25 mark and got "free" messenger bags. It is such a racket. They are happy- and now Santa has an easy out for Christmas and the birthday thing just got easier. Clothing, closets, strollers, carriers, shoes, toys and more.

We finished the evening at Imperial Dynasty for dinner. Sushi makes everything right in the world- and my world was looking pretty good. Going to sign up for the sushi class and for the Chinese cooking class- Sushi could be daily if I can make it myself.

One week until school starts- Kindergarten orientation, Meet the Teacher, Pre- K orientation and the Ogre's orientation- a weekend of fun- and then school.

Counting down.
